Child Safety Policy
Intelligentsia World is
committed to the
safety and well-being of all
children accessing our services.
We have taken steps to educate our
staff about the risks related
to child sexual abuse,
instituted policies
and practices designed
to protect children
from the risk of child
sexual abuse and trained our staff and
volunteers about proper
reporting requirements.
Harassment Policy
The harassment of any
a child is not tolerated at
Intelligentsia World for any reason.
Comments, conduct,
or remarks that might
reasonably be perceived by others
as offensive or harassing
must be avoided.
Examples of the types of conduct that are covered under the School’s
Harassment Policy include the following:
● Inappropriate communications, including any language,
which is unnecessarily
loud or degrades others,
or threats of any kind,
whether
communicated verbally
or in writing.
● Physical abuse, including touching,
hitting, kicking, threatening,
restraining by force,
or
blocking the path of another.
● Interference or hostile environment,
including any behavior or action
that interferes with
a person’s ability
to perform his or
her duties and responsibilities,
or results in or creates a hostile
or intimidating environment.
● Sexual harassment,
including unwelcome sexual advances,
requests for sexual acts or favors,
distributing or otherwise
sharing sexually explicit materials
(in any form or media),
and other verbal or physical
conduct of a sexual nature.
● Retaliation, including any
adverse action or threat of
adverse action is taken or made
because a person has exercised
or attempted to exercise
any rights under
applicable laws or
the policies of the School.
Any individual who feels he or
she has been subjected to any type
or degree of harassment is
to report the incident
verbally or in writing to his/her
teacher or division head.
This policy applies
to School personnel,
students, parents, vendors,
and visitors to the campus.
Reporting Abuse and Neglect
Intelligentsia World actively
follows the requirements and
guidelines for reporting
child abuse and neglect.
All Intelligentsia World
personnel and parents
“having reasonable cause to
believe that a child has been
subjected to abuse or neglect”
shall immediately notify
the Head of School
(who is the liaison and the
primary contact person
between the school
and
designated child
welfare authorities).
