Parents are the Best Teachers

We have always been told by others that the first and the best teachers in our lives have been our parents.

Our parents have taught us to speak, walk, learn etiquette, and do the day to day things in our lives. As a child, we have agreed with the statement that parents are the best teachers.

Let us go through a couple of reasons on how parents are the best teachers in a person’s life.

We have always been made to understand that the first teachers in our lives have been our parents.

Our own parents are the only ones who have the most amount of patience to teach us anything and everything, something which any other teacher would not have.

The child always looks up to his parents and copies the habits of their parents.

The child often wishes to be like his mother or father.

The parents do not teach their child anything which is wrong and wish their child to become successful in life.

However, reading, writing, and good manners is not only what a child needs in today’s world.

To succeed in life the child needs good teachers who are able to teach him other essential basics of the world like General Knowledge, logic, mathematics, management, etc.

The child also learns a lot from his friends of the same age.

This can only be possible when they communicate with their friends.

But this is the age where the child may stop listening to his parents.

The child starts to do things that he wants to and decides on what is right and what is wrong on his own.

The child may start revolting and misbehaving.

The parents have to be very patient and calm with the child during this time and it is only a parent who can teach the child how to behave and be what the parent wants.

Parents should talk to their children about everything.

This one-to-one talk will make the child feel safer and bring confidence in him.

The parents whole-heartedly try to teach the child in a way that they want.

If the child is not able to learn from the parent, they will learn from someone else.

It is the responsibility of the parent to use their time with their children wisely.

The parents are therefore the best teachers as they are able to impart their knowledge and their experience, something that is not found in books.

This is why more and more parents are turning towards Home-Schooling their children.
